The 6 pool rush is also known as the zergling rush. What you do is get 6 drones and as soon as you have enough minerals get the spawning pool, when that is built start cranking out zerglings. The more you wait the better chance your opponents has to put up some counter measures. In case of the protos just blitz through any photon cannons and hit the mineral field as hard as you can. After a couple of tries you most likely will able to sense when is the perfect time to launch a rush. You can do this with 6-8 and even more zerglings. You can build up a couple of legions as well for mid game pwning.

Now the second SC2 Zerg rush is the 10 pool rush which is also known as the speedlings charge. This move is slightly delayed because you need 10 drones, when you reach that pop limit you have to build a spawning pool and an extractor, get the 10 drones up again. Fetch your self a queen and do the metabolic boost research. Crank out a couple of speedlings and send them on a rampage in your oponent’s mineral field. In case you are facing a protoss player then the speedlings will suffer less casualties from photon cannons because they are way faster than zerglings. Both of these strategies are great to use, you might shatter your opponents moral so he will give up the fight instantly. Remember that this trick will be useless if you are facing and experienced player who knows how to counter your rush. Also be especially careful with the terran’s because they have the nasty habit of blocking their base’s entrance. And the zerglings won’t be able to do anything if they are locked out.
It’s really fun playing with the Zerg, they are versatile and were made for gang warfare. As a final advice always create groups when you’re playing the zerg because groups have a higher survivability. This concludes the SC2 Zerg Rush article, I hope you can take something away from this.
